I have wanted to do a full build review on the Berserk Fury for what seems like ages. This piece came from Jedi Bill, and is one of the most royal, striking, and just plain beautiful Zoids I have ever had the pleasure of coming across. Let's take an in depth look at the Purple and Gold Chrome Berserk Fury.
The outside of the box sports a "special edition" holograph sticker on the front of the box, as well as on one side.
The sprues on this piece were loose, and nothing came in original plastic bags.
Berserk Fury consists of:
21 Sprues
18 Caps
1 Tail Connector
1 Set of Eye Lenses
2 Side Facial Pieces
1 Motor
2 Side Neck Pieces
1 Power Pack
2 Body Halves
1 Pilot
1 Sticker Sheet
Berserk Fury is a nice and long build, with some pretty advanced elements that will satisfy any modeler's dreams. In fact, it's one of my most favorite builds ever, and the end results are stunning from the flaring tail to the rhythmic cannon in it's mouth, Berserk Fury has it all. The first thing I did with this one is switch out the caps, I didn't like the look of red caps with a purple and gold Zoid.
Below is a pictorial, step-by-step review of building EZ-049 the Berserk Fury (Fuhrer).
The build begins with assembling the two neck pieces around the motor as well as placing the inner workings of the neck piece.
Next the tail is completed.
We then start on both arm units.
Next are the leg units, the legs on Berserk are on the same level as tricky liger legs if not even more so.
Next are the back foot supports.
Next, we attach both arm and leg units to the finished torso.
Next the Buster Claws are assembled.
The Buster Claws are then fit into the back, and the unit is complete. I do not sticker my chrome Zoids, I don't think it looks to good and I also fear the acidic nature of the adhesive slowing eating away at the chrome finish. This piece is just magnificent, a true sight to behold, it looks even better in person. The Chrome Purple lends the feel of "royalty" to the piece, and the gold accents are just right and not overdone.
This piece has made it into my top ten list of favorite Zoids, below is the complete piece.
