Released as part of the Genesis line of Zoids, this is GZ-017 the
"Delcato Dragon". If you would like to read up on the history of the
piece that I wrote (a few years ago) click
right here!
I was finally able to locate one after a Zoids hiatus. Let's pick
up where we left off!
Delcato consists of:
Pedestal (2x pieces, dark blue)
1 x main motor
1x spine upper motor
3 small bags containing:
2 x blue lenses
2 x blox (black and gold)
2 x foot plates
4 x armor pieces (no sprue, pearl white)
12 x hard grommets (gold)
4 x soft blox grommets (gold)
18 x caps (gold)
1 x sticker sheet
1 x manual
2 x pilot (white)
2 medium bags containing:
6 x sprues (navy blue, gold, pearl white, brown)
and 2 large bags containing:
6 x sprues (navy blue, electric blue, pearl white, brown)
With all that out of the way, lets build the beast!
Battery in (screw cover) and construction begins with the head.
The first two tail segments come next.
Rear leg assembly.
We then focus on the body starting with the underside and moving on to
armoring both sides.
Next we adorn the head.
Moving onto the front legs.
Staring on the wings.
Rear legs are attached to the body.
Moving back to the front legs.
It's time to attach all of our parts!
The Genesis stickers are awesome. I really enjoy the Zoidian rune
aesthetic.
Consisting of Death Raser and Parablade, Delcato has a few spare
pieces. Someday I may break it down into each just to grab the pictures
as I LOVE this color scheme!
With stickers applied, it's time for the traditional photo shoot:
When switched on Delcato walks forward with wings flapping.
Overall this is an excellent Dragon
type kit. Very hard to find now,
I had to result to a Chinese based
buying assistant to add this to
the collection. If you are
interested there is a review of the service
in the Zoids Cult discord server,

I leave you with the
obligatory pictures of the Genesis dragons, Zoid On!
